A WORK SESSION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BABYLON WAS HELD IN THE UPSTAIRS CONFERENCE ROOM,
153 WEST MAIN STREET, BABYLON, NEW YORK,
ON TUESDAY,
APRIL 30, 2024
PRESENT:
Mayor Mary Adams
Deputy Mayor Frank Seibert
Trustee Dominic Bencivenga
Trustee Anthony Cardali
Trustee KathyAnn Miga
On the motion of Trustee Bemcivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 5:00PM.
The Board of Trustees considered the application of Isaura Sanchez of My Play Space LLC and approved the application with the following covenants and restrictions to be added to the Planning Board letter:
- There is to be no parking for the facility or the patrons in the Babylon Fire Department parking lot behind Babylon Village Hall, 153 W. Main Street. Patrons should be told that ample municipal parking is available on S. Carll Avenue across the street from the Babylon Public Library and should be utilized as necessary. Parking across from Village Hall should not be considered for patron parking. Reserved parking in this lot is for Village employees only.
- Commercial grade fire/ alarm system must be installed.
- Occasional birthday parties are acceptable within the time frame allocated, however, regular day to day operation of the premises should be “wrapped up” if possible, sooner.
- Food can only be brought into the establishment by patrons. There is to be no cooking or food preparation.
- Please be sure employees apply for employee parking permits through the Mayor’s Office.
- Please make sure that the parking allocated for the business and provided by the landlord is adhered to.
On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Migs and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 6:03 PM.
