A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 7:23 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.

Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees opened at 8:05p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Trustee Davida.
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the March 25, 2014 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees and dispense with reading of the same.
The Mayor read the letter from the Fire Department dated April 4, 2014:
The annual meeting of the General Convention of the Babylon Fire Department was held at 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2014 as prescribed by Article III, Section 1 of the Department Bylaws.
The purpose of the Convention was to elect nominees for the office of Chief of the Department, First Assistant Chief, Second Assistant Chief and Third Assistant Chief.
The nominees receiving the majority of votes were as follows:

On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Davida and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to accept the Fire Department actions as read.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue refund in the amount of $75.00 to Diane Aquino, as she moved to a smaller boat berth on East Creek from Main Dock.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the Budget adjustment for the 2013/14 Fiscal year, to increase the Law Contractual Expenses (A.1420.400) $15,924 and increase Bond Anticipation Notes Received by $15,924 (A.5730).
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Basile and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED that Marietta Menchini receive the customary $1000 salary increase as she has completed her 6 month probationary period as of April 7, 2014.
On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Amelia and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to issue refunds in the amount of $25.00 to each of the applicants listed below for the return of one (1) ZBA sign for partial refund:

RESOLVED to grant permission to the Babylon Junior-Senior High School to use the South field on Locust Avenue to host the 3rd Annual Peter Figoski Memorial Softball Game. The revised date and time will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 6:30 pm.

On the motion of Trustee Basile, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried,
WHEREAS A PUBLIC HEARING WAS HELD on Tuesday, April 8, 2014,
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED to approve the application of Niall Crowe, to open a Craft Beer Pub, The Villager, at 262 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon, subject to Covenants and Restrictions to be to be determined by the Village Attorney.
Trustee Basile announced the One Man Art Show, featuring the works of Ed Bates, to be held at the Conklin House Friday April 25th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday and Sunday, April 26th and 27th, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 pm.
On the motion of Mayor Scordino, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reinstate Village of Babylon Taxi Driver License #1616, issued to James Gagliardi, as he has cleared up his parking violations.
Mayor Scordino made the following announcement:
Village of Babylon Offices will close at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 18, 2014, in observance of Good Friday.
Meeting was opened to the public; no one addressed the Board.
Meeting adjourned 8:19 p.m.
