A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon was held in the upstairs conference room on WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2023. Present were: Mayor Adams, Trustee Seibert, Trustee Cardali and Trustee Miga. On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, the work session opened at 6:08 PM. On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Miga, and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 7:49 PM.

On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, the work session opened at 7:09 PM. On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Miga, and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 7:59 PM.

Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees opened at 8:03 PM.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Cardali.
On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the October 24, 2023 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees and dispense the with the reading of the same.

Mayor Adams recognized 2 Girl Scouts, Emma LaMagna and Alana Lewis, who are doing tremendous work in our village. The Board presented each with a Proclamation.
On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire Roberto Perez as a full-time laborer with an annual salary of $35,360 effective September 11, 2023.
On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire Michael Ruis as a part-time Parking Meter Officer at a rate of $15.00 per hour effective October 16, 2023.
On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire John Law as a part-time Parking Meter Officer at a rate of $15.00 per hour effective October 16, 2023.
On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to approve the following warrant for November 14, 2023:

On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire Michael Ramaglia as a full-time highway laborer with an annual salary of $45,760 effective October 10, 2023.
On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to hire Joseph Rivituso as a full-time Parking Meter Officer with an annual salary of $31,200 effective October 15, 2023.
On the motion of Trustee Cardali, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to remove the exemptions as per the attached Assessor Petitions and bill the new owner(s) the Exempt Property Restoration for the Tax Year(s) as indicated on the attached chart.

RESOLVED to hire Michael Gioe as a full-time laborer with an annual salary of $29,120 effective September 25, 2023.

RESOLVED to hire Robert Luciano as a part-time Parking Meter Officer at a rate of $15.00 per hour effective October 15, 2023.
On the motion of Trustee Miga, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees hereby acknowledges that pursuant to Section 2019-a of the Uniform Justice Act, the required 2022-2023 Fiscal Year (10/01/2022 to 9/30/2023) examination of the Justice Court of the Incorporated Village of Babylon was performed by the Certified Public Accounting firm of Skinnon and Faber November 2, 2023.
On the motion of Trustee Miga, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to grant permission to Babylon Little League to hold the annual Opening Day Parade at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024. The Parade will start at the Fire House parking lot, head south on North Carll Avenue to Main Street; East on Main Street to Deer Park Avenue; north on Deer Park Avenue to Railroad Avenue; west on Railroad Avenue to North Carll Avenue; north on North Carll Avenue to Locust Avenue; west on Locust Avenue to the Locust South field, where the ceremony will start at approximately 11:00 AM. (Sound equipment will be set up in the infield of the Locust South field.) This permission is granted contingent upon timely receipt of required certificate of insurance with the Village of Babylon listed as an additional insured, as well as a signed and notarized hold harmless agreement.
