Public Hearing April 12, 2022 - Proposed Local Law Chapter A369 Dock Rules & Regulations
A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on TUESDAY, APRIL 5, 2022. On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 5:15 PM. On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, the Board entered into executive session at 5:16 PM to discuss Human Resources. On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Bencivenga and unanimously carried, the executive session ended at 6:38 PM and the Board returned to the work session. On the motion of Trustee Bencivenga, seconded by Trustee Seibert and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 6:40 PM.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Trustee Cardali.
The Village Clerk read the legal notice:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law of 2022 to amend Village Code Chapter §A369 Dock Rules and Regulations.
Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the Office of the Village Clerk, on the Village website: www.villageofbabylonny.gov, or can be requested by calling the Village Clerk’s Office at (631) 669-1500.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.
The Board explained that the purpose of this local law was to ‘clean up’ Chapter A369 pertaining to Dock Rules and Regulations and bring them up to date. This proposed local law will also clarify some of the responsibilities of the boaters and the Village.
The meeting was opened to the public; no one spoke for or against this local law.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reserve decision.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, the public hearing adjourned at 7:11 PM.
