Public Hearing January 10, 2023 - Local Law 1 of 2023 - Veteran Parking Permits
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon was held in the Board Room on TUESDAY, JANUARY 3, 2023. Present were: Mayor Adams, Trustee Seibert, Trustee Bencivenga, Trustee Cardali, Trustee Miga, and Village Attorney Matthew McDonough. Bruce Humenik joined via Zoom. On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Cardali and unanimously carried, the work session opened at 6:05 PM. On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, the work session ended at 8:00 PM.

The Village Clerk read the legal notice:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at the Municipal Building, 153 West Main Street, Babylon, NY, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to consider the adoption of proposed Local Law 0110PH Veteran Parking of the year 2023 to amend Village Code to issue Veteran Parking Permits in the Village of Babylon.
Complete text of the above Local Law is available in the Office of the Village Clerk, on the Village website: www.villageofbabylonny.gov, or can be requested by calling the Village Clerk’s Office at (631) 669-1500.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place, and they will be given an opportunity to be heard.
Mayor Adams explained that the text of the proposed local law for veteran parking permits heard on December 13, 2022 was revised to include disabled veterans.
The meeting was opened to the public; no one addressed the Board.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reserve decision.
On the motion of Trustee Seibert, seconded by Trustee Miga and unanimously carried, the public hearing was adjourned at 7:08 PM.
