A work session was held by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, the meeting opened at 4:39 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried the Board entered into Executive Session to discuss current litigation at 5:20 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Davida, seconded by Trustee Muldowney and unanimously carried, the Executive Session ended at 5:42 p.m. On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Adams and unanimously carried, the meeting adjourned at 5:43 p.m.

The Village Clerk read the legal notice:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Babylon will hold a Public Hearing at 153 West Main Street, on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as can be heard, to consider the application of Kristy Furci and Maxine Sterlacci of The Green Fork Babylon, LLC, to open a take-out Salad Bar restaurant in the rear first floor retail space of the building located at 101 Deer Park Ave.
Copy of application and plans may be examined at the office of the Village Clerk, between the hours of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.
All interested persons should appear at the above time and place and they will be given the opportunity to be heard. All applicants and their duly appointed representatives must appear in person at the above hearing.

The applicants explained that this is will not be a self-service salad bar and there will be no table service. It is primarily take-out, and there will be a maximum of 10 seats. They will be serving green bowls (salad) and grain bowls (quinoa, wild rice, etc.) Cooking will include chicken, falafel and steak. Beverages will be sold out of a refrigerator case; there will be no alcoholic beverages. There will be low-volume background music. The entrances will be in the rear of the building and in the alleyway; the dumpster is in the rear parking lot.
The Board emphasized that the dumpster must be fenced in, kept closed and picked up regularly. Any signage would need the approval of the Architectural Review Board.
The meeting was opened to the public; no one spoke for or against this application.
On the motion of Trustee Muldowney, seconded by Trustee Silvestri and unanimously carried, it was
RESOLVED to reserve decision.
