Gardening as a Community
The Nathaniel Conklin House is home to stunning flower and vegetable gardens throughout the property. The Steering Committee recently launched the Conklin House Community Gardening Program to encourage residents to participate in creating, maintaining and harvesting this beautiful bounty. The program got underway on Wednesday, May 19th with dozens of volunteers, including several girl scout troops, helping to prep the soil in their assigned areas for next week's planting by weeding and turning the soil over. The program will run from now through mid-October and meets on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 PM. We have a few sections available to adopt for adult volunteers! If you are interested in joining this program, please contact us at ConklinHouse@yahoo.com
